TAYLORSVILLE — Unified military trust a same male has damaged into some-more than 40 arcade games and rides in grocery stores opposite Utah and surrounding states.

Since Aug. 11, someone has damaged into a machines during grocery stores in West Jordan, South Jordan, West Valley City, Sandy, Centerville, Price, Orem, American Fork, Harrisville, Riverdale, Idaho Falls, Wendover, Evanston and more, pronounced Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell. Most recently, stores in Cedar City and St. George were strike over a weekend.

The burglar targets games in front of a stores that typically cost a quarter, such as a scratch arcade diversion or a children’s ride, Bell said. The contemptuous burglar breaks into a games regulating a crowbar and screwdriver, typically while others are around him, he said.

Because a arcade games are engaged out, store employees don’t know who is reserved to correct them or perform upkeep on them, so a burglar typically steals income a machines out in a open and no one questions him.

The male has stolen between $13 to adult to $350 from any incident, Bell said. The sum income detriment and repairs to a machines was estimated to be $33,000 as of Monday. Some store notice cameras have prisoner images of a man. Other witnesses have told investigators that another chairman has been seen watchful in a automobile outward a stores.
